Sidemount places cylinders along the diver’s sides rather than on the back, changing equipment configuration, trim, access and gas-management procedures.
What sidemount training develops
Training includes equipment setup, cylinder attachment and removal, regulator use, gas switching, trim, propulsion and problem management. Simply moving cylinders to your sides does not create a well-balanced sidemount system.
